Before music begins
Browsers require a real click or tap before audible music can begin. After that first action, verified Audius tracks can advance automatically in the same persistent player while you visit other public pages. If a browser pauses or blocks a transition, the dock shows a clear resume button. Your source and selected public song are kept in browser session storage so the dock can retain its place while you browse.
What providers receive
A provider’s image host may receive your IP address and device details when verified cover art becomes visible; those image requests suppress the page referrer. Audius receives a normal browser request when you press play. Another provider receives one only when you explicitly open its link or consent to its player. A provider may use cookies or device storage and may recognize you if you are already signed in there.
Spanish@UIC does not send the provider your Spanish@UIC account ID, name, email, phone number, membership answers, or private profile data.
What stays provider-controlled
Provider controls, branding, ads, regional restrictions, content availability, sign-in, and subscription requirements remain in place. Spanish@UIC never downloads, proxies, converts, caches, or separates audio from the official player.
Provider-specific notes
Verified, ungated Audius recordings form the free ad-free lane. They play in one persistent audio element and can advance automatically after your first tap. We do not substitute remixes, covers, or edits for an unavailable original.
Video stays visible while it plays. Closing the player stops playback; YouTube tracks never run as hidden or audio-only radio.
The unmodified Spotify player stays separate from other providers. Playback length can depend on browser, region, and account; some listeners may hear a preview.
Apple’s native player controls playback. Preview or full playback depends on Apple Music, region, and subscription. The radio never requests access to your music library.
