Choose what to hear, connect your music account, and press play. Music starts only when you choose and can keep playing as you explore the site.
Before music begins
Choose a station, sign in to the music service shown in the radio, and press play. Songs advance automatically while you browse the site or your dashboard. Hiding the controls keeps your music playing; use the small radio button to bring them back. If playback pauses, choose Resume music. Unavailable songs are skipped.
What your music service receives
The radio shares song details with your music service so it can find and play the board’s picks. The service also receives information about your device and connection and may recognize an account you are already signed into. You sign in directly with that service; Spanish@UIC never sees your music password.
Spotify sign-in and playback happen directly between your browser and Spotify. The information that keeps your music account connected stays in this browser tab, not in the club database. Spanish@UIC does not save your Spotify profile or personal Spotify data. If Apple Music is offered, its connection details also stay in your browser.
After Spotify sign-in, you return to this site through a link containing a one-time sign-in code. The code is immediately removed from your browser’s address bar. It may pass through our hosting service with the page request, but the club does not deliberately save or log it.
Spanish@UIC does not share your club account details, name, email, phone number, membership answers, or private profile information with your music service. The radio does not change your music library.
Your music account
Your music service streams the songs and determines which songs are available for your account, subscription, and region. Spanish@UIC does not download or store the audio. Hiding the radio controls keeps your account connected; choose Disconnect to end the radio’s connection.
Listening options
Apple Music playback is not currently available on this site.
Connect your own Spotify account to listen in this browser. Spotify Premium is required for full-song playback. Your music keeps playing when you hide the radio controls, and you can disconnect at any time.
Board members share links to their favorite songs. The Spotify radio plays songs shared from Spotify. When a song includes a link to another music service, you can open that link to listen there.
The radio keeps the version the board member shared. If that version is unavailable, it skips the song rather than playing a different remix, cover, or live version.
